Doors have a guard lock: If a door's open, the lift won't move. That door's got to be closed, bro. You open the door back up, I'm not moving the lift. No chance. You got to have the door closed. That's the bottom line.
Door with interlock: There are electric and mechanical interlocks on the landing doors, so you can't open the doors while the lift is running. This is because you don't want something sneaking underneath the lift while it's moving.
Platform has an anti-skid floor: When you're in the lift, you don't want break-dancing tires. You want a floor you're not going to slip on. The floor of the lift is made of a non-slip steel plate. That way, there's traction between your cargo and the floor. Stuff on the floor doesn't just go back and forth in the lift. It stays in one place.
